About The Alternative Divorce Company
The Alternative Divorce Company was founded in 2023 in response to growing public awareness that the adversarial way in which divorces and breakups are often conducted is damaging and, in many cases, avoidable.
It has been shown that couples who go through a hostile breakup take much longer to recover financially because of the escalation of legal costs. They also take longer to recover emotionally as a consequence of experiencing a harmful and traumatic process.
Research has also shown that children exposed to conflict during the divorce and separation of their parents can also be impacted. They can suffer a downturn in their grades at school, experience feelings of depression or overwhelm, and may go on to have difficulty forming emotional attachments later in life as adults.
This makes the lasting effect of divorce and breakup on families in the UK a matter of great public concern.
The founder Dr Glynis Wright MBE formed The Alternative Divorce Company [ADC] in response to these concerns. Her intention is to provide an alternative and forward-thinking methodology by which couples can handle their divorce or breakup using specialist divorce coaching services in parallel with other bespoke expert services. These services are represented by the affiliates of the Alternative Divorce Company. The holistic approach of the ADC and its expert affiliates really does give couples the very best chance of achieving an amicable, civilised and “beautiful” divorce or breakup.
