As an experienced family and couples psychotherapist, I witness first-hand the immense cost – both financially and emotionally – that an acrimonious divorce an cause.

This damage can trigger inter-generational distress and trauma, with ruptured attachment patterns leaving a lasting legacy. However, I also believe the  reverse to be true; a well-managed divorce can set everyone free to follow a healthier emotional pathway, creating excellent foundations for co-parenting.

The traditional routes, by their very nature, set opposing narratives and a ‘winner takes all’ approach. The children are often the silent victims in all of this. I’m also a systemic trained family therapist and fully qualified to work with young people. I spent many years in public and private sector companies before setting up Jigsaw Counselling.
